俚语：既是指的那些日常生活的一些与标准的英语相比,不太规范的英语用语;

但在那些英语电影中,尤其是那些以美国为背景的电影中大量的俚语的使用,往往一个英语过得去的人也会皱眉,对电影的理解与投入则大打折扣.而跳过这些障碍,掌握一些常用俚语就变的很重要了.


screen adaptation (改编)

that means :"turn to one thing into anther to suit the needs to make the difference"

so screen adaptation is that turn some stories (always some novels,or games) into a movie,

Now see the word: "adapt"(适应、改编之意) is change and it changes for a film.

take your pick (随你挑):

Take your pick means

you can choose any one you want.

One example: We have enough money to buy any DVD player this store has,

so take your pick.(我们有足够的钱来买这家店的任一种DVD，随便挑吧)

That was bad line(看来我的搭讪的很糟):

在这里 "line"指的是：油滑或虚情假意的话，通常用来欺骗或加深印象

For example:
  I didn't give her my phone number because she used a terrible line.
  (我没有给她电话号码，因为她的搭讪方式很糟糕)

  I'm not good at meeting girls because I don't have any pick up lines.
  (我不善于与女孩约会，因为我不太会搭讪)

Ladies man( (有女人缘的男人)：

For example:
  My cousion always has 2 or more women interested in him,
He's a real ladies man!(我的表弟通常有2个以上的女性青睐于他，他真是个有女人缘的男人)

Somebody totally buying something(某人对某事完全相信):
buy = believe;
One example:
He said he could get me a job at his company but I don't buy it, He doesn't have much
influence(他说他可以在公司为我找一份工作，但我根本就不相信他，他根本就没有这种能力)
